"Only We Can Save Ourselves" Teach-In; Fair Maps Rally; MLK Day of Service; More

PNN’s mission is to engage, educate and empower our neighbors to make our City a better place to live. Here’s what’s coming up:

  • Engage: "We Must Save Ourselves" Teach-In & Rally

  • Educate: "Rise Up for Fair Maps" Rally

  • Empower: MLK Day of Service

Beloved Community Teach-In & Rally

Saturday, January 24th, 10AM-1PM, Zion Baptist Church

While we must remain vigilant against this illegal regime in D.C., we also need to come together as a community in our City, so that we can plan our mutual support on those issues that affect (or will soon affect) us and our neighbors.

Our City is strong, but many families are struggling. Some people don’t have livable homes, good jobs, or safe neighborhoods. We can’t wait for someone else to fix this. We must save ourselves by working together to build a beloved community.

Sign up below to join us at this first big teach-in of 2026, where we will discuss how we get what this city needs:

  • A Living Wage for Every Worker – No city worker should live in poverty.

  • Housing for Our Families – We need more homes regular people can afford.

  • Safer City Streets – We can stop gun violence by helping people.

We will hold this teach-in and rally at Zion Baptist Church located at 3600 North Broad Street on Saturday, January 24th between 10AM and 1PM. There will be snacks and refreshments.

Update: War Powers Act Bill Has Passed!

Thanks to everyone who called our PA Senators to demand they support the War Powers Act bill proposed by Senator Tim Kaine: "Joint Resolution to direct the removal of United States Armed Forces from hostilities within or against Venezuela that have not been authorized by Congress." Fetterman voted "YES" and McCormick voted "NO". The Senate voted 52-47 to block President Donald Trump from further military action in Venezuela.
