July 4th Reading of the ConstitutionSaturday, July 4th, 1:30PM, Allen Lane Train Station PNN will be joining our allies for a time of history, music, comradery and joy as we celebrate our nations 250th anniversary with a reading of our Constitution. The event will take place at the Richard Allen Lane train station located at 7200 Cresheim Road in Mt. Airy. Audience participation will be sought in the reading of each part of the declaration - along with historical perspective on why our forebears were angry at King George and its relevance to the current would-be king. While not necessary, attendees are encouraged to come in costume - perhaps a "mob cap" and apron for the ladies and a "tricorn" cap for the gents - easily obtainable online or at the Betsy Ross House in Old City.To see a snippet of last year's event, click here. _____________________________________ Actions with Our Allies__________________________________________ Mondays at McCormick'sMonday, June 30th, 10AM, 2000 Market Street If you're fed up with fascism, then join our allies at Mondays at McCormick's this coming Monday morning to continue what has become a year's worth of community presence to pressure our reluctant senator. This week, our theme is "Time to Tax the Tycoons". Join us for an enjoyable time with like-minded activists! _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Weekly ICE VigilMonday, June 30th, 11AM, 114 North 8th Street Join State Senator Art Haywood and our allies as we keep vigil at the local Center City ICE office to call out their bad behavior. Keeping a regular presence is a way to remind them that we are watching and to remind our fellow citizens that while it looks like life is going on as usual, we cannot allow ourselves to accommodate fascism. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Word ScrambleUBIRLECPClue: The United State was formed as a representative democracy, also know as this type of government.
