Join the Big Mt. Airy Canvass for RabbSaturday, April 18th, 10AM, Lovett Library, 6945 Germantown Ave Join us on Saturday, April 18th in front of Lovett Library for our Big Mt. Airy Canvass for Chris Rabb. We will be joined by our friends Mt. Airy Dems and Reclaim as we make a big push to get Chris across the finish line in what promises to be a close race for the Third Congressional District. Our candidate has a heavy lift - competing against AIPAC money and the political establishment - but we can overcome that by hitting the doors and having good conversations with our neighbors. We'll share the importance of turning out for a candidate who will fight for us in Washington against corporate and party insiders and foreign actors who have captured our political system. Big Mt. What it means in real, tangible terms is: No more vote-splitting. You can rank your favorite candidate first without worrying that you’re “helping the other side.” Real majority rule. RCV ensures every winner has over 50% support by reallocating votes from eliminated candidates. Coalition politics, not toxic-attack politics. Candidates are incentivized to appeal to their opponents’ supporters, not smear them. New voices rise. Voters can support underdogs without strategic hesitation, making it possible for community organizers and outsider candidates to win. Pennsylvania can be the next state to choose RCV. Write Letter_______________________ Actions with Our Allies ___________________________ We Are America March to D.C.Saturday, April 11th, 6th & Market, 9AM Start The We Are America March (WAAM) is kicking off from Philadelphia on April 11th and arriving in DC on April 25th. You can join this pro-democracy movement: join for a mile, a day, or the whole way! Over the course of 2 weeks and 160 miles, marchers will participate in training centered on non-violent direct action, teach-ins on pertinent social issues, and events co-hosted by local community members. WAAM leadership is committed to making the march as safe and accessible as possible. Following a carefully curated and tested route, marchers are accompanied by multiple support vehicles, safety marshals, and volunteer street medics.
