May 20, 2010 8th WARD RESULTS of May 18 2010 DEMOCRATIC Primary ElectionUS Senate Incumbent upset; 8th Ward State Representative Incumbent wins again; MORE!By by Bill Marston LEED AP Center City's 8th Ward voting results show that we supported the candidates endorsed by Neighborhood Networks citywide: Joe Hoeffel - governor; Joe Sestak - US senator; Babette Josephs - state representative. We also voted overwhelmingly for Philadelphian Jonathan Saidel for lieutenant governor.... STATE REPRESENTATIVEOur 8th Ward voted for state rep incumbent Babette Josephs (182nd State Legislative District) over challenger Gregg Kravitz about 61% to 39%. UNITED STATES SENATEAs I'm sure everyone knows by now, Joe Sestak won over incumbent Arlen Specter statewide. Interestingly, however, the 8th Ward just barely voted the opposite - for Specter over Sestak. LT. GOVERNORUnsurprisingly, our 8th Ward chose someone familiar to us, past Controller Saidel: GOVERNOROur 8th Ward voted for Joe Hoeffel, although he did not win statewide:
